What is in E Cigarette?
Electronic cigarettes are comprised of various components, both liquid and mechanical. They can easily be broken down in to three basic parts: a power source, an atomizer and a cartridge. In the more technologically advanced version, the atomizer and cartridge are combined into what is called an integrated atomizer.
Many e cigarettes have the same basic components, but there are some differences that are important for consumers to understand in order to make an educated choice of both type of e cig and electronic cigarette company.
One differentiating factor is the atomizer. Many electronic cigarette companies use an outdated technology where the atomizer is constructed with nickel netting. Although this has been the industry standard, atomizers that employ nickel netting have been found to be dangerous due to the fact that the nickel will break down at the molecular level over time and will become part of the vapor. This means that the consumer could potentially be inhaling microscopic pieces of nickel.
The alternative to nickel netting is ceramics and inorganic fibers. Even though this is a much safer alternative, most electronic cigarette companies will not switch to this technology for two reasons: it requires the use of integrated atomizer technology and it costs a lot of money to adopt this new method.
Do I need to be worried about E Cig Manufacturing?
Not if you choose the right e cigarette company.
However, the vast majority of electronic cigarette companies do not have strict quality control measures and they are not willing to invest in ingredients that are the finest in the world. Many e cigarette companies are doing their consumers a disservice by putting a consumable in their hands that is inferior.
It is not the electronic cigarette companies would purposefully implement manufacturing practices that would do harm to their consumers. This would be a blatant abuse. Most e cig companies, however, are not willing to put for the funds necessarily to provide the highest standards of quality control. Doing so would cut into profit margins too greatly.
The best way to not worry about the manufacturing process of the electronic cigarette that you consume is to choose a company that has a proven track record of putting people before profits. Vapor cigarettes have the very real potential of improving lives, but only if electronic cigarette companies are willing to stand behind their consumers who are looking to make a change.
Are E Cigarettes safe?
Theoretically, yes. Electronic cigarettes contain none of the cancer causing chemicals or carcinogens associated with traditional tobacco. They are alternative to help smokers live a smoke free life. They also produce no second and third hand smoke, so the lives of those who don't smoke are not disturbed or harmed.
But ensuring that electronic cigarettes do not allow harm to overcome the improvements that are achieved by their use comes down to quality of ingredients and the level of quality control that e cig companies are willing to implement.
The problem is that this costs a tremendous amount of money. The honest truth is that most e cigarette companies are not willing to cut in to their profit margins in order to provide state of the art quality control.
Most e cigarette companies are not willing to put their consumers before their need for a higher payout. Most e cigarette companies will not put people before profits.
